This is a Guangxu Yuanbao silver coin made in Sichuan Province. The upper part of the outer circle on the front side reads "Made in Sichuan Province", the lower part reads "Seven qian and two fen of Kuping", and in the middle are "Guangxu Yuanbao" and Manchu characters. The back is a coiled dragon pattern, and the outer circle is in English. It was a circulating currency minted in Sichuan Province during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. It witnessed the currency culture and minting techniques of the late Qing Dynasty and has certain historical and collection value. This coin was born during the late Qing Dynasty when it was beset with internal and external troubles. It was the product of the Qing government's exploration of monetary system reform. From the beginning of minting in the 24th year of the Guangxu reign to the end in the 34th year of the Guangxu reign, it witnessed the political, economic and social changes in the late Qing Dynasty. The characters on the front, such as "Guangxu Yuanbao", are written in a dignified and grand manner with powerful strokes. The coiled dragon on the back spreads its teeth and claws, with clear scales and unfurled fins. The lines are of uniform thickness, demonstrating superb carving skills. The Chinese and Manchu characters on the front and the English on the back reflect the integration of Chinese and Western cultures. The dragon pattern carries the Chinese nation's worship of the dragon and the symbolic meaning of royal majesty.
