The "Daquan Fifty" was an important product of the currency reform in Wang Mang's Xin Dynasty (7-23 AD), and it was one of the currencies that circulated for a long time and had a large quantity among the currencies in use during the Xin Dynasty. Shape and craftsmanship: Round with a square hole, the front is inscribed with seal script "Daquan Fifty", and there are various styles. In terms of currency value forms, there are official coins (with a diameter of about 28 millimeters, weighing 12 zhu, equivalent to 8 grams in the current system), thick and heavy coins (cast in the early days, weighing about 10 grams, with some reaching up to 15 grams), thin and small coins (after Wang Mang allowed devaluation in the first year of the Tianfeng era, the heavy and heavy Daquan fifty coins were illegally cast by the common people, with a diameter of 26 millimeters and a weight of about 3 grams), and small coins (privately cast at the end of the Xin Dynasty, weighing about 0.5 grams), etc. There are also special layouts such as the double wheel (with a double-layered outline, distinctive characters, the character "大" resembles a swallow, and the character "泉" has a wavy top) and the back four-out pattern (the four stripes from the intersection Angle of the inner outline to the outline, the diagonal lines of the genuine product are difficult to cross perpendicularly).
