The Dingwei Tael silver coin of the Guangxu period is a silver coin with a rather legendary color during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. It was minted in the 33rd year of the Guangxu reign (1907) and was minted by the Tianjin Mint General Factory of the Imperial Branch. The four characters "Guangxu Silver Coin" are engraved in the central circle of the silver coin, with a dignified and grand style. On the left and right sides outside the circle, the two characters "Ding Wei" are engraved respectively, indicating the year of casting. There is also a pair of dragons playing with a pearl (the character "Shou") pattern. Between the heads of the two dragons, there is a circular "Shou" character in an irregular style, with seven silver points left inside and subtle hidden marks below. In the center of the reverse side, the two characters "Liang" are cast, and around them is a pattern of two dragons playing with a pearl. The backs and bellies of the two dragons are respectively decorated with three clusters of cloud patterns, and at the lower end are wave patterns. The dragon patterns on the front and back have different designs. The dragon patterns on the front are slender and elegant, simple and freehand, with a Pre-Qin style. The dragon on the back is majestic and imposing, with sharp and spread claws, presenting a typical style of the Qing Dynasty.
