作品描述:
Each vase finely painted with two large leaf-shaped panels enclosing prunus branches, peonies and chrysanthemums amongst rocks and smaller cartouches of flowers, all against a gilt-decorated midnight-blue ground, the domed covers surmounted by later-gilt buddhist lion finials
76 in. (193 cm.) high; 23 in. (58 cm.) diameter
The vases: 52 in. (132 cm.) high; 21 in. (53 cm.) diameter
Probably acquired by Lady Elizabeth Mary Grosvenor, 2nd Marchioness of Westminster, from a sale at Havering-Atte-Bower, near Romford, in March 1847 (according to family records);
And thence by descent at Inwood House to the present owner.
