espagnolette mask over a rectangular panel with pierced foliate border surrounding a
pietre dure panel inlaid with a basket of fruit and two birds, opening to reveal seven drawers, flanked by a scrolling surround and by two doors similarly inset with three
pietre dure panels of birds on branches, the panels surrounded by foliate and strapwork marquetry borders, the fluted columnar uprights headed by a foliate capital and terminating in a foliate-wrapped baluster base, the sides inlaid with fruitwood marquetry and mother-of-pearl marquetry panels, on a moulded plinth base, on bun feet, stamped 'BY' to the reverse of the mounts
