A black-and-white photograph of the present vase was sighted by the current owner in the Walter Hochstadter Collection (folder 9, box 3, Identifier: AR 25344/MF 1051) at the Centre for Jewish History, New York, and has been digitally reproduced.
Compare with vases of closely related form from the Sui dynasty, see an example sold by Mayuyama, accessedhere, and another excavated in Xingyang, Henan, in 1995, now in the collection of the Institute of Cultural Heritage and Archaeology, Zhengzhou, see Zhang Bai eds.,Complete collection of ceramics art unearthed in China: Henan, Science Publishing, Beijing, 2008, p.43.
For further comparable examples, though with flat and flaring mouths, see the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (acc. no. 2011.394), and the Palace Museum, Beijing (acc. no. 新00153491).
