Executed in 1969-70, this set is the cancellation proof set aside from the numbered edition of 100 plus 15 artist's proof sets, published by Petersburg Press.

The 39 steel faced cancellation copper plates used to printIllustrations for Six Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimmwere gifted to the Victoria and Albert Museum by the artist and the publisher, Petersburg Press. The plates were cancelled by having a hole bored through a central part of each image within the plate.
A certificate of authenticity for this lot from Petersburg Press will be provided upon request.
