Horizontal handscroll, ink and mineral pigments on silk, inscribed signed
Shifu Qiu Ying with two artist's seals and a total of twenty-two collector's seals, mounted with colophons signed Lu Shidao and Wang Yangdu (early to mid 19th century), the latter dated Daoguang
guisi (1833) and signed
Yangdu with two calligrapher's seals, the exterior titleslip also by Wang Yangdu, signed
Mengquan with a calligrapher's seal, the scroll accompanied by a handwritten letter from Hsien Wu (1893-1959) to its then owner, Mr. A. Shepard, dated 28 June 1950, a three-page printed translation of the two colophons and the titleslip by Hsien Wu, bearing his handwritten annotations and signature, and a handwritten translation of the biographies of Qiu Ying and Zhao Boju by Hsien Wu's daughter, dated December 1950.

Translation of Wang Yangdu's colophon by Hsien Wu:
Most of Ch'ou Shih-fu's realistic paintings we see today are copies. I have seen three scrolls of painting of Shan-Lin based on Tze-shu's poem. It required ten years to finish one scroll, and three scrolls would take thirty years. Shih-fu did not live a long life. Could they be all from his pen? People only know that Shih-Chou's paintings are all realistic. That there is an element of idealism in them is seldom known. According to what I have seen, his genuine paintings rarely failed to embody an element of idealism. The picture at the right: Leisure in Autumn Mountains, is an idealistic painting in the realistic style. This is a variation. Furthermore, there are the commentary poem by Lu Tze-chuan and the seal[s] of collection of Hsiang which make this painting a valuable and rare one nowadays. Written in the Hall of Spring-Grass in the fifth moon of Kwei-Sze year of the reign of Tau-Kwang.

款識:〈題仇實父摹趙千里秋山逸趣圖〉江南佳麗多山水,水秀山明兩奇美。地靈人傑固有稱,毓秀鐘英獨超異。茅屋正結山之阿,蒼松修竹垂煙蘿。牙籤萬軸讀書處,物候秋清景最多。四壁風來奏琴瑟,楊柳蕭疎草猶碧。濕雲載山山欲浮,嵐氣凝空空翠滴。有時讀罷閒鉤簾,芙蓉十二排虛簷。溪聲忽度長林外,漁歌樵唱能相兼。有時閒向溪邊步,一派清光捲晴素。灘橫鴨嘴小槁低,萍底生煙靄微暮。有時閒聽屋外泉,環佩泠泠來半天。招之可以濯心肺,頓令毛髮俱飄然。有宋千里傳妙繪,三百年來無與似。仇生相對一臨摹,便令今古成佳配。平原陸師道書。

款識:仇實父工細長卷,世所傳者,贗本居多。余所見〈子虛上林賦圖〉有三卷,計十年之久才能成功一卷,若三卷而言,非三十年精力功夫不可矣。實父壽既不永,豈盡出其手耶?世人但知十洲畫必工細,其中合寫意筆罕有人知之。就余所見,其真蹟甚少無不兼寫意者。右〈秋山逸趣圖〉乃寫意中而具工細之格,此又為之一變。同時陸子傳有題詩,又有項氏收藏圖記。求之近日,難能而可貴也。道光癸巳(1833)五月跋於春草堂,養度。
