Galeria Colores del Girasol, "Modern Masters", Marbella, 2004.In the 1940s, when Kostin's paintings were exhibited in the major galleries of New York, his oeuvre developed into abstract color compositions and later into a subtle form of action painting. During this period he collaborated with Jackson Pollack (1902-1956). The painting "Yellow and red abstraction" (1950) is considered in several publications as one of the highlights resulting from their collaboration.
