Note: Freddie Mercury (1946-1991) was the charismatic frontman of the pop group Queen. The auctioned 'Freddie Mercury' 35/150 series is on Arches paper. We havein auction the complete, limited and very exclusive series on Japon Nacré paper, series III of XX, dated 1963-1965. To our knowledge, this is the first time that such a series, complete with 16 etchings, has been put up for auction.
