Note:
this is a brilliant example of the mature style of this beloved Welsh artist, demonstrating the confidence of his brushwork and unique understanding of colour, even in his near monochrome works on paper. There are nearly 400 works by the artists in public UK collections, mainly in his home country of Wales, most noticeably at the Oriel Kyffin Williams Gallery at Oriel Mons in Anglesey which opened in 2008. Williams worked with the Thackeray Gallery from the 1970s until his death.
