Baynes was associated with Roger Fry and the artists of Bloomsbury, developing a fresh, modern style inspired by French Post-Impressionism in the years following WWI. He exhibited at important galleries such as Lefevre, Agnews and posthumously with the Bloomsbury Workshop.
