Of flattened ovoid form, this skillfully carved 'shadow' agate snuff bottle utilizes the natural dark brown and black inclusions within the translucent greyish-beige stone to depict three lively fish swimming amidst aquatic plants. It is surmounted by a contrasting pale green hardstone stopper.Qing Dynasty period.
