In addition, he also developed his own collection of Chinese art, especially palace utensils and ancient jade and bronze artifacts. In 1964, he joined his late father's family business, which lasted for three generations in 19th century New York, dealing in antiques ranging from European ceramics, silverware, tapestries, furniture to Chinese porcelain and art.
