Probably Puebla (Mexico), c. 1740.
The thistle-shaped bowl with plain, everted rim supported by a baluster stem raised on a stepped and spreading circular foot, the lower half of the bowl, the stem and the foot profusely decorated in the poblano-type Baroque style with flowers, scrolls and winged cherub heads, the outer band of the foot with foliate motifs and a fine punch bead border, 23.9cm high, approx. weight 25.1ozt
