The silver mounted clock with Arabic numerals to circular dial raised on a pierced mount supported by a pair of elephants, each draped with a tasselled cloth and modelled in walking pose with trunk lowered, the rectangular white metal base with canted corners pierced around the sides with foliate scrolls and flower motifs, the clock with French two train movement and silk suspension (deficient), striking on the case with hammer, the case decorated with a figural surmount of a monkey, 46cm high, 37cm wide
