8vo (165 x 95 mm). Italic type, 30 lines plus headline. collation: a-h8 2a-z8 A-B8 C4 (h8 a blank): 268 leaves. Woodcut Aldine device on title-page and final verso, sixteenth-century marginalia and corrections to index. (Worming to first few leaves, worming to inner margin neatly repaired, 2e2 trimmed at lower margin and repaired costing some marginalia, intermittent primarily marginal staining.)
binding: Northern Italian black morocco (168 x 105 mm), blindtooled frame with diapered pattern, central panel subdivided in three segments, hatched lozenge in center, traces of two pairs of ties, spine with raised bands in four compartments, compartments diapered in blind, silvered edges. (Joints strengthened, joints starting near head of spin, edges tarnished.)
