Japan, 2007, 8.5 × 8.5 × 4 cm.
Small casket made of lignum vitae decorated in polychrome takamakie with shells, the inside of the cover shows a single shell in relief medallion on okibirame. With tomobako, inscribed 'Shiohi' (shellfish gathering) and signed Tomizô.

Kleine Schatulle aus Guajakholz (lignum vitae) mit polychromem Muscheldekor in takamakie, die Deckelinnenseite zeigt eine Einzelmuschel in reliefiertem Medaillon auf okibirame. Dazugehörige Holzbox (tomobako), beschriftet 'Shiohi' (Muschelsammeln bei Ebbe) und signiert Tomizô.
Provenienz: Malcom Fairley, 21. Juni 2007 (Rechnung vorhanden). Schweizer Privatsammlung.
