The spreading foot chased with acanthus leaves, the ring withchamplevéenamelled leaves, the lower part of the stem fluted and adorned with applied volutes, the upper part with a disc knop between two beaded rings and applied with rosettes, the cup overlaid with a chased sleeve depicting three scenes: the death of Samson, Mucius Scaevola before Lars Porsenna, and a man before a fire; the rim dot-prick engraved with leaves, with two monograms on the underside of the base, marked on the lip with town mark, date letter and maker's mark.
