Elizabeth Scott, Duchess of Buccleuch(1743–1827) to her youngest son,
Henry James Montagu-Scott, 2nd Baron Montagu of Boughton at Ditton Park(1776–1845) to his wife,

This baton was presented to the 2nd Duke of Montagu (1690–1749) for the coronation of George I in which he officiated as High Constable. The presentation of the baton appears in the records of the Jewell House at the National Archives:
'Deliverd unto His Grace the Duke of Montague, Ld High Constable for the Day his Majt's Coronation, one staff of silver gilt at each ends. 12[oz]:02[dwt]:00'.1
