Kimura Toun Chu

During the later years of his life, Kimura Toun became particularly popular in the West, notably amongst Parisian Japoniste circles. The famous French writer and collector Edmond de Goncourt
(1822–1896)
referred to him as the 'soft bronze artist', and examples of his work can be found in the Musée Cernuschi in Paris, acquired in the 1870s.
