A CHINESE HARDWOOD ZITAN 'ROTATING' BRUSH POT, BITONG Qing Dynasty, 18th Century 清十八世紀 紫檀硬木陰曆紋轉旋筆筒 The cylindrical bitong set with two rotating sections carved in relief with ripe double gourds sprouting from leafy vines amongst smaller fruits and blossoms, each inscribed with a character mark, enclosed within a gently-waisted protruding rim and base, both incised with scrolling stems issuing flowerheads 11.5cm diameter
