A CHINESE HARDWOOD ZITAN BRUSH POT, BITONG Qing Dynasty, 17th - 18th Century 清十七或十八世紀 紫檀硬木高士圖筆筒 Of naturalistic form, carved in relief around the exterior with a group of scholars sat in conversation at a table adorned with auspicious objects, a lone figure travelling through the woodland clearing to seek their advice, further around a group of three boys carrying objects travel in the same direction, the landscape dotted with clusters of pine trees, jagged rocky outcrops and swirling clouds 19cm wide, 16.2cm high - PROVENANCE: Formerly in a British private collection, by repute
