A LARGE CHINESE FAMILLE-VERTE AND IMARI HEXAGONAL 'FLORAL' JARDINIÈRE Qing Dynasty, Kangxi period 清康熙 五彩及伊萬里六方花卉紋花盆 The large heavily potted jardiniere with shaped recessed panels on all sides, finely enamelled with cartouches of flowers depicting chrysanthemums and lotus among other flowers, reserved on an enamelled and gilt brocaded ground, the wide rim with further cartouches with floral sprays. 39cm diameter - PROVENANCE: Private Collection, Cambridge - NOTES: Please note examples of jardinieres of the period with famille-verte decoration of the same hexagonal form sold at; Christie's, London, 2 November 2016, lot 48; another Christie's, New York, 23 January 2008, lot 288, another of similar shape but different palette sold at Christie's, London, 12 December 2002, lot 96; another famille-rose example sold at Sotheby's, New York, 20 April 2018, lot 1055.
