the curved double-edged steel blade with two fullers and split central ridge, with two carved-out dents at the base of the blade on each side surrounded by a punch-inlaid decorative motif in gold, the silver hilt with an unusual decagonal grip, moulded at the base and pommel, and inlaid with niello across the length in a variety of floral, vegetal, and geometric motifs, the wooden scabbard also with a decagonal cross-section, entirely covered in silver and decorated en-suite, with suspension loop to the back
