Chronograph calibre 10-60 – The last movement in the history of the GUB. The chronograph calibre 10-60 developed by the company "Glashütter Uhrenbetrieb G.m.b.H.", which was managed by the "Treuhandanstalt Berlin" (privatization agency after the reunification of Germany in 1990) was based on the experimental mechanical automatic movement GUB 10-30 developed by the "VEB Glashütter Uhrenbetriebe" in East Germany before the wall came down. This line of development ended in 1995 – 150 years after F.A. Lange established the horological industry in Glashütte – with a limited special edition of 300 models in 18 K rose gold cases. The new high-end movements produced by "Glashütte Original" after 1994, when the company "Glashütter Uhrenbetrieb G.m.b.H." was ultimately privatized, were new designs which were not based on the old development lines of the "VEB Glashütter Uhrenbetriebe" any longer. For collectors of GUB timepieces, this means that a remarkable period in time, which began 44 years earlier with the finalization of calibre 61 by "Precis" the successor company of "UROFA" and "UFAG" comes to a close.
