Ornately carved Asian, possibly Japanese export, lacquered hardwood armchair or throne, depicting profuse mythical and geometric motifs throughout in high relief; the armrests in the form of dragons chasing flaming pearls, late 19th to early 20th century.
Height: 47 in x width: 27 in x depth: 22 in.
The chair appears structurally sound. There is a minute unevenness along one of the legs that lends the chair a slight wobble. There are no major breaks. Some fleabite and small chips to the lacquer throughout along high points of the carved details. Some separation to the joints throughout. Dust gathered along the recessed areas.
