Ming Dynasty
Of elegant proportions, powerfully constructed with three single
tielimu planks forming the back and side rails, above the wide rectangular frame enclosing the coconut webbing and mat seat, the seat frame of standard mitre, mortise and tenon construction, the edge of the frame moulding gently downward and inward to end in a well-defined banded edge, above a narrow waist and beaded-edged curvilinear apron, all raised on sturdy cabriole legs with outward flaring hoofs that extend below the horizontal feet stretchers to become moulded, padded feet, the wood of attractive grain.
Overall: 205.4cm (80 7/8in) wide, 131.8cm (51 7/8in) deep, 84.1cm (33 1/8in) high.
Seat: 51.1cm (20 1/8in) high
