The top of standard mitre, mortise and tenon construction with a tongue-and-grooved, floating panel supported by two dovetailed transverse stretchers below, raised on recessed, splayed rectangular legs, the edge of the frame moulding downward and inward, terminating in a narrow flat band, set above one drawer and a plain panel above a deep curvilinear apron carved with scrolling tendrils, flanked by two long and wide spandrels intricately carved with sinuous dragons, the drawer front applied with a beaded-edged curvilinear apron above a round lock plate, handle and lock receptacles made of
huangtong.
