Qing dynasty, 19th century, apocryphal Qianlong mark
Enamelled around the gently rounded sides with four of the Eight Buddhist Emblems, between a keyfret band at the rim and a ruyi border above the foot, the base with apocryphal six-character seal mark in underglaze blue,12.4cm diameter.

There is a star-shaped line to base which is visible only to the base and not to the interior of the bowl; this line does not highlight under UV nor is it visible when shining a torch through the thin base, suggesting that this is in fact a glaze line rather than a body hairline.
