A pair of Chinese Imperial blue-ground and gilt 'Buddhist emblems' bowls
Qing dynasty, Jiaqing marks and period
Each finely gilt on the thin, straight sides, with Buddhist emblems over an elaborate lotus scroll on a rich blue ground, the interior with traces of the original turquoise enamel, the base with turquoise enamel surrounding the iron-red six-character seal mark, 11.2cm diameter each (2).

Expected light wear to gilt. The turquoise enamel to the interiors has somehow been polished off/removed, with only sparse traces left. It is intact to the bases. There is a shallow polished section to the interior of the rim of one bowl (approx. 22mm x8mm).
