Arabic manuscript on paper, 193 leaves, plus 2 fly leaves, 19 lines to the page written in naskh in black ink, verses separated by gold and polychrome rosettes, within gold and black rules, sajda, hizb and juz' marked by gold and polychrome illuminated marginal devices, surah headings in blue on gold and polychrome illuminated panels flanked by gold illuminated cartouches with commentary in black shikasteh, f.1b and 2a with fully illuminated index, f.2b and 3a with blue illuminated cartouches enclosing gold naskh on an interlacing ground of leaves and flowers, f.3b and 4a with illuminated frontispiece framing text, following bifolio with text in clouds reserved against a gold ground within floral illuminated margins, final bifolio with prayers within cartouches on floral ground, in floral lacquer binding signed 'Ya Sahib al-Zaman' and dated 1219 AH, lacquer doublures

Although the biography of our scribe is unrecorded, surviving manuscripts copied by him are dated between 1804-05 and 1822-23 AD (Bayani 1358 sh, pp.182-3). The text within the illuminated bifolio following the text states that this is his fifty-ninth copy of the Qur'an.
