Arabic manuscript on paper, 620 leaves, plus 2 fly-leaves, 9 lines to the page written in naskh in black ink on a gold-sprinkled ground, verses separated by gold roundels with blue dots, within gold and red floral illuminated rules, margins with commentary in black nasta'liq and red naskh written on the diagonal and flanked by floral illuminated cartouches, surah headings in red, each juz' marked by gold floral illuminated margins, f.1b and 2a illuminated in gold and polychrome framing text, a bifolio within the text and the end of text similarly illuminated, in gilt tooled brown leather binding with flap, gilt leather doublures
