Chiseled and gilded bronze, with porcelain enamel dial.
Preserves pendulum.
Signed on the machinery: "JAPY FILS".
Measurements: 63 x 51,5 x 19,5 cm.
Table clock made of gilded bronze Louis XVI style. The base responds to a baroque inspiration with rococo elements, with mixtilinear plant adorned with elements in relief. The dial is located in the center of the piece. It presents Roman numerals in black on a white background and golden openwork hands. The watch is topped by a large cup of classic style.
The French Louis XVI style is included within the Neoclassicism. The decorative elements, as already indicated, are classicist-inspired, but the curves and sinuosities of the rococo of Louis XV have not disappeared, although these are secondary.
