The cylindrical vessel deftly painted around the exterior with a continuous scene in vibrant tones of cobalt-blue of the Tang Emperor Minghuang standing accompanied by a Daoist priest wearing a patterned cloak and holding an official's tablet visiting the Guanghan Palace of Chang E on the moon, Chang E accompanied by an attendant carrying a fan before a large screen, further attendants carrying various attributes, all within a balustraded garden setting with gnarled rocks and trees, all between incised borders above the foot and below the mouth, box.
